For starters, there are now three new models under the Predator XB3 Series and each of these models come with their own distinctive focus. As an example, the 27-inch Predator XB273U NV has been incorporated with Acer VisionCare 4.0 technologies to help reduce eye strain during prolonged gaming sessions by dynamically adjusting the monitor’s brightness and colour temperature. Equipped with a QHD Agile-Splendour IPS panel, it has a native refresh rate of 144Hz that can be overclocked up to 170Hz. Alongside 1ms overdrive response time, the XB273U NV also has DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage of 95% and Delta E<1 rating together with VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. The NVIDIA G-Sync compatible monitor also has customisable RGB Light Sense strip on its back that can be sync to a user’s music playback or in-game actions within League of Legends. It also has a built-in USB 3.0 hub and a pair of 2W speakers. On another hand, Acer also has another new G-Sync compatible model called Predator XB323U GX which not only has a larger 32-inch QHD 144Hz IPS panel but can also be pushed further up to 270Hz. The VESA DisplayHDR 600-certified monitor also has 99% Adobe RGB colour gamut coverage. The third new member of the Predator XB3 Series is the Predator XB253Q GW which is still a G-Sync compatible model but has a much smaller IPS panel at 24.5-inch alongside Full HD resolution. Even though it might be lacking in size, it is the fastest model among all three, though since the monitors come with a 240Hz panel that can be overclocked to 280Hz.
Outside of the Predator XB3 Series, Acer has also revealed the new Predator X34 GS which comes with an ultra-wide curved Agile-Splendour IPS panel that has a native resolution of 3440 x 1440. Natively, it has a refresh rate of 144Hz but as per other new models that we mentioned earlier, gamers can choose to boost the rate up to 180Hz. Moving on to the Nitro Series, both of the new monitors are 27-inch models with Agile-Splendour IPS panel that present an identical physical design and model number but are distinctively different from each other. One of them is Nitro XV272U KV which offers QHD resolution alongside 95% DCI-P3 colour coverage and Delta E<1 rating as well as 144Hz refresh rate that can be overclocked to 170Hz. The XV272U KV also features Acer VisionCare technologies which explain why there is a sensor module on the centre part of its bottom bezel. The sensor allows the monitors to automatically adjust its settings according to the ambient lighting. As for the Nitro XV272 LV, it has a more down to earth Full HD resolution although feisty enough with 144Hz native refresh rate that can be overclocked to 165Hz. Its DCI-P3 colour coverage is also slightly lower at 90% , although the monitor still has Delta E<1 rating. The general roll-out of these new gaming monitors from Acer will begin from November onwards in China, starting with Predator XB273U NV, XB323U GX, and X34 GS as well as Nitro XV272U KV. They will be priced at RMB 3,999 (~RM 2,490), RMB 6,999 (~RM 4,356), RMB 7,999 (~RM 4,980), and RMB 2,999 (~RM 1,867), respectively. Two more models which are the Predator XB253Q GW will follow up in December for RMB 2,999 (~RM 1,867) and similarly, the Nitro XV272 LV with a price tag of RMB 1,999 (~RM 1,245). Acer has yet to confirm the release status for these monitors in Malaysia though, so we will keep you updated once we hear more from the company.
