Based on the images provided, it appears that Samsung has decided to retain much of the Galaxy A52’s design on the new model. So much so that the differences between the Galaxy A53 and its predecessor are very minor – with the most noticeable change being the redesigned rear camera bump, which now looks like it is rising from the rear panel rather than appearing as an island. OnLeaks notes that the new phone is only 8.14mm thick with the bump excluded, making it slightly thinner than the Galaxy A52 which comes in at 8.4mm. Another major change that is revealed by the renders is the removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack – an omission that most likely will disappoint a good number of users, provided that this leak is accurate. Besides that, everything else on the Galaxy A53 is present and is also pretty much the same as its predecessor. Featured on its 6.5-inch flat panel display is a top-centered selfie camera cutout, while on its right-hand side are its volume rockers and lock button, and situated at the bottom is a speaker grille and a USB-C port. Unfortunately, OnLeaks did not detail any of the Galaxy A53’s internal hardware, cameras or features. On a related note, GSMArena reports that the allegedly upcoming phone is expected to launch within the first three months of 2022, and would be offered in four colour options: Black, White, Light Blue, and Orange.
