In the case of Twitter user and software engineer, Patrich Schur (@patrickschur_), he believes that the lineup’s top-tier card, the Radeon RX 6900 XT, could run with a game clock of 2.4GHz out of the box. Not only that, but the card may also be running on a TDP of 255W.

— Patrick Schur (@patrickschur_) October 17, 2020 To put those numbers into context, NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3080 has a game clock 1.71GHz, boost clock of 1.9GHz, and a 320W TDP in order to run. At 2.4GHz, it technically surpasses both the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 and is also the highest speeds on a GPU, to date. Mind you, that’s just the 6900 XT’s alleged game clock, which means that both the card and its RDNA2 GPU architecture could even run with far higher boost clocks. Both out of the box and at launch.

Initial rumours also suggested that the 6900 XT could ship out with 16GB GDDR6, have a 256-bit memory bus, and up to 80 Compute Units and 5120 Stream Processors. Like all rumours, however, the standard disclaimer and consumption of salt apply. That said, Schur’s projections and leaks have been fairly reliable, and given how close we are to the launch date of Big Navi, you’d be forgiven for believing some of the specs here. That said, we can’t wait to test the new GPU for ourselves. (Source: Hot Hardware, Patrick Schur via Twitter)
