During the MacBook Air segment, Apple has also unveiled the new 35W Dual USB-C Port Power Adapter. The company introduced it as one of the new charging options for the equally new laptop and has also pitched it as a convenience since the power brick allows users to charge two devices at the same time. The compact version of the charger, as revealed at WWDC 2022. [Image: Apple / YouTube.]The 35W Dual USB-C Port Power Adapter has since made its way to Apple Malaysia’s online store although only in standard size and not the compact version that was shown during the keynote. While it is still not available for purchase at the moment, the listing noted that the charger is not only compatible with the new M2-based 2022 MacBook Air but can also support these models:
2020 MacBook Air with M12020 MacBook Air 13 Retina2018- 2019 MacBook Air 13 RetinaEarly 2015 – 2017 MacBook 12 Retina
Naturally, it can also be used for numerous iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and AirPods models out there. However, do note that the charger does not come with any cable, so you may want to take that into account and budget your purchase accordingly. When it comes to pricing, the 35W Dual USB-C Port Charger can be obtained for RM239 which is similar to the 67W USB Power Adapter although it only features one USB-C port. Given the similar price tag, it is not surprising that Apple allows users to choose between the two power bricks themselves when they purchase the M2-based MacBook Air with 10-core GPU and at least 512GB SSD. That being said, only the latter power brick can deliver the fast charge feature on the new M2-based MacBook Air. Through the feature, users can obtain 50% of the laptop’s battery capacity in just 30 minutes of charging time.
