Through the upcoming iTunes Movies and TV Shows app, users are able to access their iTunes library as well as purchase or rent movies and TV episodes from iTunes Store directly from their Samsung Smart TVs. To be available in more than 100 countries, Samsung also stated that the app will be able to work hand in hand with its Smart TV Service including Universal Guide, New Bixby, and Search.
Other than that, Samsung Smart TVs in 190 countries throughout the world will also be able to support Apple AirPlay 2 protocols very soon. The support would allow users to wirelessly stream content from their Apple products to Samsung Smart TVs with much ease. Both iTunes Movies and TV Shows app, as well as AirPlay 2 support, will be available natively on 2019 Samsung Smart TV models while 2018 models will receive them through a firmware update.
