Specs-wise, the Radeon Pro 5600M comes packed with 40 Compute Units (CUs) and 160 Texture Units. Additionally, it houses 8GB of HBM2 graphics memory, spread across a 2048-bit memory bus. As with all current Radeon graphics solutions, the Radeon Pro 5600M is based on AMD’s Radeon DNA (RDNA) graphics architecture and more specifically, Navi 12. In terms of performance, AMD says that the Radeon Pro 5600M should perform 75% faster than the 4GB variant of the Radeon Pro 5500M, which is also an option for the MacBook Pro 16.

As mentioned, the Radeon Pro 5600M is available as an option for the 16-inch MacBook Pro. Bear in mind, the cost of affixing the GPU actually differs between the two models listed on the official product page; choosing the GPU as an option for the option with the 6-core, 9th generation Intel Core i7 sets you back RM3200. While fitting the same GPU into the MacBook Pro with the 8-core Core i9 processor brings the price down to RM2800. (Source: Apple Malaysia)
