This time around, the BPN 2.0 will deliver RM 1,000 in total to B40 households while single B40 individuals will receive RM 500. On another hand, there is also RM 600 allocations to M40 households as well as RM 300 for single M40 individuals. The distribution of BPN 2.0 will be split into two, with the first round of payment to be released at the end of October 2020 before followed by another round in January 2021. For B40 households, the first payment in October will involve RM 700 while the balance of RM 300 will come in January. PM Muhyiddin also stated that those who have received BPN 1.0 will receive BPN 2.0 automatically without the need to register once again. Those who did not receive the original BPN aid but are eligible for it as well as those that want the government to relook at their eligibility, will be able to submit their application very soon.

The announcement of BPN 2.0 alongside the KITA PRIHATIN package by PM Muhyiddin came at a rather interesting time as Opposition Leader, Anwar Ibrahim has revealed that he had obtained enough majority support to form a new government just a few hours before the announcement took place. So, things in the country are looking rather uncertain at the moment.
