The trailer for Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of Harley Quinn dropped recently to much fanfare. It was fun, sexy and absolutely badass. What’s interesting, but perhaps not so surprising is that it’s a feminist film. In an interview with Premiere Magazine (Via ComicBook.com), Ewan McGregor who plays the villainous Black Mask talked about the film’s feminist themes. Birds of Prey official synopsis:  After splitting up with The Joker, Harley Quinn and three other female superheroes – Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya – come together to save the life of a little girl (Cassandra Cain) from an evil crime lord.
