Would Disney allow such a character to live on under their banner? Or would we be getting a toned down, PG-13 version instead? Well, it looks like we need not worry. In an interview with Variety, Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige said that Deadpool would remain as R-rated as it’s ever been.
While not many details have been disclosed just yet, I speculate that Deadpool and the X-Force will be kept separate from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and continue to feature in smaller budgeted R-rated movies, under a different banner. However, this doesn’t automatically mean that we’ll be getting a whole slew of R-rated comic book movies with various characters. Variety also reports that Feige said it “remains to be seen” if the studio will start making R-rated adventures such as Logan. (Source: Variety)
