If this is true, information about previously leaked Overwatch 2 may be correct. pic.twitter.com/J3cmfciGNt — Naeri X 나에리 (@OverwatchNaeri) October 20, 2019 It’s the 3 November release date that garners special attention; while it may not be a coincidence, it’s the day after BlizzCon 2019 kicks off. Which has led many online to speculate that Blizzard might just surprise fans with an unveiling of Diablo 4. Diablo 4’s development news isn’t exactly groundbreaking news. According to Kotaku, the fourth instalment of the dungeon crawler has been in the works since 2016. Prior to this, Blizzard also announced Diablo: Immortal, a mobile spin-off game for iOS and Android that was not well received by fans, with one even calling it an “off-season April’s Fool joke”.

Diablo 3 was first released in 2012, followed by its Reaper of Souls expansion pack in 2014. Even though Diablo 3 had a rocky launch, with congested servers and bugs on the first day, it still managed to sell 3.5 million copies within the first 24 hours. Like all leaks, we recommend that you take this discovery with a pinch of salt until 2 November for BlizzCon to start.
