The brand’s new PCIe NVMe SSD was first announced at CES 2019 earlier this year, and comes two capacity options; 512GB or 1TB. Specs-wise, the storage medium uses utilises a Toshiba 3D TLC BiCS3 NAND flash. That is backed by a Phision controller and its own DRAM cache. In terms of speed, Gigabyte says that the 512GB variant has sequential read and write speeds of 3480MB/s and 2100MB/s, respectively. The 1TB model is more or less the same, but with a faster sequential read speed of 3080MB/s. Random read and write IOPS are listed as 360K and 510K for the 512GB variant, while the 1TB variant is set at 610K and 530K, respectively. Of course, what makes this PCIe NVMe card stick is the RGB LED that has been built into the spine of the product. Gigabyte calls it the AORUS Light Diffuser, and according to the brand, the feature is designed to match supported motherboards, graphics cards and other components via the RGB Fusion 2.0.
