Among gadgets, the iPhone 11 ranks as the most searched gadget in Malaysia. This is followed by the Huawei P30, the Huawei P30 Pro, the iPhone 11 Pro Max, and the Huawei Nova 3i. Following these, we have the Vivo S1, the OPPO F9, the Huawei Nova 5T, the realme 5 Pro and the OPPO A3S. It’s odd that other popular names in the market like Samsung and Xiami did not make the top 10 at all, while Huawei has four of its devices among Malaysia’s top 10 searches.
The top trending searches in general are also bizarre, in its own way. At the very top is Earth Day Quiz, followed by Thanos, Bantuan Sara Hidup, Copa America 2019, Air Pollution Index of Malaysia, Islamic Prayer Times, Joker, Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame, and Perodua Aruz.
To be clear, these are the top trending searches in the country, and not the top searches in general. As Google Malaysia explains it, these are search terms that explode in popularity this year. At any rate, the top 10 trending terms in general, as well as ones in each category, are quite interesting. For the full list of Malaysia’s top trending searches, you can head to Google’s webpage. You can also compare and contrast our local searches with the global trends, if you feel like it.
