The secret behind the increase of the performance within NCS2 is the new Myriad X VPU that Intel has equipped into it. As compared to the Myriad 2 VPU in the original MNCS, the new chip offers four additional programmable SHAVE cores, improved vision accelerators, and new native 4K ISP pipeline that able to cater up to 8 HD sensors. Priced at USD 99 (about RM 415), Intel didn’t provide any list of local retailers to us but interested developers still able to get their hands on NCS2 through these online retailers.
