One of the characters introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe that year was Nebula. Daughter of the Mad Titan, Thanos. Sister to the “fiercest woman in the galaxy”, Gamora. Villain. When she first stepped out on screen with Lee Pace’s Ronan The Accuser, she was depicted as this fiery persona who had nothing else to live for aside from shrieking at her adversaries. Nevertheless, throughout the course of four movies, Nebula has seen a significant amount of development, dropping the antagonistic act altogether, and finding her long lost feeling of affection with the raggedy team. Fandom recently sat down with Nebula actress, Karen Gillan as she was promoting the Blu-ray release of Spies In Disguise. While discussing the timeline of her career and its highlights, the conversation eventually settled on the blue Luphomoid. The actress also discussed her plans for the character and what she aspires to achieve with her. Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame included pivotal arcs for the character, after the torturous relationship with her step-father begat her scoundrel. Having survived the Snap and being part of the last-ditch effort to bring back the lost souls, she was forced to confront her literal past during the Avengers’ time-heist. A wiser and more mature Nebula attempted to convert the bitter young creature to the light side, having experienced joy and love with her “family” firsthand. Unfortunately, it was not to be as the erstwhile version bit the dust at the hands of tomorrow. It was there that we uttered our farewells to a tortured soul as she shed a lone tear of regret, a hole in her bosom. Surely, we will be getting more Nebula as she was last seen aboard the Benatar alongside the Guardians (and a certain cheez-whiz veined god o’ thunder). With the recent report about the team popping up in Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder, Karen Gillan could be breathing new life into her character as soon as 2021. Otherwise, we can look forward to seeing her and the rest of the gang back in Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3.
