In an interview with The Upcoming, Robert Downey Jr, who plays Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe said that the last eight minutes of Endgame is perhaps the best in the entire history of MCU.
Two things stand out from the RDJ quote. For one, saying a particular sequence is the best in the entire MCU is no small praise. Better than the airport battle sequence in Civil War? Better than Thanos snapping his fingers in Infinity War? Better than the first time we see the first wave of Avengers assemble in 2012’s The Avengers? Apart from that, Robert Downey Jr also said: “everyone’s involved.” Could this mean that the final eight minutes of Endgame would see an action block featuring more than 30 awesome characters kick ass? Or could it be a quiet and emotionally poignant moment? It is highly likely that by this point, the likes of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and Hulk have successfully reversed the events that took place at the climax of Infinity War and brought their friends back to life.
