At a glance, you’d be forgiven for mistaking the notebook as the GS65 Stealth. That’s because the WS65’s chassis is almost identical to the company. Even the back of the notebook sports a virtually clean slate, save for the lineup’s emblem emblazoned right in the middle of the top half . In fact, the only discernible differences that separate the WS65 from its gamer-centric brother is its trackpad and the non-RGB backlit keyboard. In terms of hardware, the WS65 can be fitted with Intel’s top-of-the-range Core i9 CPU. Due to its nature as a workstation, the notebook uses an NVIDIA Quadro discrete GPU. In the case of the WS65, the notebook can house up to a Quadro P4200 GPU, which houses 8GB GDDR5 memory. For the moment however, it appears that MSI will only be bringing the WS65 comprising the Core i7-8750H CPU and Quadro P3200 discrete GPU. Regardless of the variant, the display of the WS65 is still a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS panel with thin bezels, and a 100% sRGB (or 72% NTSC) colour gamut. Additionally, the model being brought in will house 16GB of DDR4-2666 RAM and a 512GB NVMe PCIe storage.
Ports on the WS65 include three USB 3.1 Type-A ports, one USB 3.1 Type-C port, a HDMI 2.0 port, one mini DisplayPort 1.4, one microphone jack, and one headphone jack. Price-wise, the MSI WS65 coming into the country will retail for RM12599, and will come with a 3-year warranty, and will only be available in one colour scheme; black.
