One of the few other things that is known is that it will be made by DeNA, a Japanese mobile developer. This, according to Wall Street Journal’s Takashi Mochizuki, means you can expect some very aggressive monetisation methods.

— Takashi Mochizuki (@6d6f636869) May 10, 2019 Mochizuki states that, according to people who have worked with the Pokémon Company before, the company is not as hesitant as Nintendo when it comes to monetising.  For context, the Pokémon Company isn’t actually owned by Nintendo, but is actually a joint venture between Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures. All that said, this upcoming game doesn’t even have a name yet, so it’s way too early to tell if it will have egregious monetisation mechanics. It may also be a Japan-exclusive game, for all we know.
