The Good Cat EV can be obtained in two different variants including the 400 PRO option which is able to deliver a maximum range of 400km according to the NEDC standard. This particular option is powered by a 47.79kWh lithium ferro-phosphate (LFP) battery that takes around 8 hours through AC charging to be fully charged while under DC charging, the timing can be reduced further to between 32 minutes to 46 minutes to reach 80% state of charge (SOC). On the other hand, there is also the 500 ULTRA variant which as you may be able to guess from its name can travel up to 500km with a single charge. Powered by a 63.14kWh ternary lithium battery, the higher capacity battery does take longer to charge at up to 10 hours with an AC charger or 60 minutes to reach 80% SOC with a DC charger. The 500 ULTRA option also comes with a number of extra features such as a welcome light effect, a massage system to the driver seat, electric folding mirror memory, and a six-speaker setup. This variant also has extra safety features such as and six front & rear parking sensors, Auto Reversing Assistance, Full-Auto Integrated Parking, Emergency Lane Keeping, Lane Change Assist, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Rear Cross Traffic Braking.
GWM has also reserved specific colourways for the Ora Good Cat 500 ULTRA including Verdant Green with White Roof, and Hazel Wood Beige with Brown Roof. Both of these colourways will also be accompanied by matching interior colourways. There are also other colour options available for both 400 PRO and 500 ULTRA owners such as Mars Red with Black Roof, Hamilton White with Black Roof, Coral Blue, Sun Black, and mono-tone Hamilton White. However, owners have to be content with black interiors for these colour options. Regardless of your option, all Good Cat EVs for Malaysia have been equipped with a 105kW electric motor that can deliver up to 143PS of maximum power alongside a peak torque of 210Nm and 152km/h top speed. They also feature 18-inch alloy wheels, disc brakes on all wheels, a panoramic sunroof, Android Auto & Apple CarPlay support, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.25-inch infotainment console. Future Good Cat EV owners will also be provided with plenty of safety features that come as standard on all variants such as six airbags, 360-degree cameras, an Anti-Lock Brake System, Electronic Brake Distribution, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Adaptive Cruise Control, a Traffic Jam Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Low-Speed Emergency Braking, Front & Rear Collision Warning, and many more. Regarding the pricing, the Good Cat 400 PRO can be obtained from GWM dealerships all over Malaysia for RM139,800 inclusive of SST although the EV’s actual On The Road (OTR) price without insurance is RM140,500. As for the 500 ULTRA variant, the selling price with SST is RM169,800 but the actual OTR price without insurance is RM170,500. The EV is protected by a 5-year 150,000km warranty for the vehicle itself while its battery has a separate 8-year 180,000km warranty. GWM will also provide five maintenance service sessions with free labour for Good Cat owners as well as portable and home chargers but the exact chargers were not mentioned on stage. Meanwhile, GWM has noted that the first batch of orders is expected to be delivered to customers next month.
