Thanks to a leak by data miner SkinTrackerCom, we now have an inkling as to what exactly Epic Games is planning for Fortnite. The leak, which comes in the form of a YouTube video, indicates that the game will be given a new name: Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1. The trailer shows several new features being added to the game; it’s a sign that Epic Games is trying to turn the franchise into something that is more than just a battle royale shooter title....

According to reports, the Alphabet-owned brand was slapped with a €500 million (~RM2.48 billion) fine, after it was deemed that the company failed to come to terms with news publishers, over how they would split the profits and revenue earned from sales. The fine marks the second time French authorities take on a major tech giant with fines over monopolistic practices, the other tech giant unsurprisingly being Apple. It may not come as a surprise, but this isn’t the first time Google has been dealt with fines over anti-competitive practices, or even gotten into legal trouble....

An internal company memo has since appeared on the internet, stating as much. The memo also states that outlets are to reopen on 1 April. That said, the memo is dated 17 March, which was way before the MCO extension was announced. We’ve contacted Gamers Hideout, and a representative said no outlets are open while the extended MCO is in effect. A source familiar with the situation said that, while the outlets are closed, some employees are working from home....

Google in its latest blog announcement has said that Chrome will now warn users before they submit personal information through “mixed forms” sites. These “mixed forms” are HTTPS sites that fail to submit personal data to HTTPS. Consequences result in the user’s personal data being accessed by other harmful parties. Among the changes include Google disabling the Autofill feature on mixed forms and alerting the user about a potentially insecure site as soon as they are prompted to key in personal data on mixed forms....

Among gadgets, the iPhone 11 ranks as the most searched gadget in Malaysia. This is followed by the Huawei P30, the Huawei P30 Pro, the iPhone 11 Pro Max, and the Huawei Nova 3i. The Face Unlock flaw was first discovered by BBC reporter Chris Fox, who demonstrated via Twitter how the Pixel 4’s facial sensor was able to unlock the phone while pretending to be asleep. As you can see in the video, it takes less than a second to execute and gives anyone who has access to Fox’s phone complete access. One possible reason behind this is probably because, unlike most facial recognition technology and hardware, Google’s Motion Sense scans your facial characteristics in its entirety, instead of requiring you to keep your eyes open and facing the camera during the recognition process....

Windows Central reports that IO Interactive is hiring various positions for a Project Dragon. The nature of this is said to be that of a fantasy genre, and will be a “connected-world” RPG.
