The Verge reports that you can now use the usual “OK Google” and “Hey Google” phrases to Siri, and from there the Google Assistant can be used just like on an Android device. You can also start Siri up with “Hey Siri”, followed immediately by “Hey/OK Google.” You can also use Siri to run Google Assistant commands in a smart home. For example, telling Siri “Goodnight Google” will run a routine, such as turning off the lights and locking doors....
The company has mentioned that it is only allowing a total of 30 apps for the Assistant to work with currently. However, in time to come, it plans to expand support to more apps. Of course, in order to open a specific app from Assistant, users will first have to ensure that the desired app is already installed in their smartphone device beforehand. Google in its @madebygoogle Twitter account have announced that the company has unveiled a new Captions feature in its Duo app. With this feature now made available, Google Duo users can now have their video and voice call conversations transcribed by the app itself. In a 10 second video posted on the Twitter account, a Google Pixel 4a device was used to reveal how the new feature would work on an Android operating system....
With the feature in place, if you were to search for an image via Google, the Images viewer should now display information pertaining to the said image. Complete with the new fields “Get the image” and “License details”. One reason behind Google Images’ implementation of the feature is because of an all too common issue when consumers search for images online and use them without properly crediting the original source or person responsible for taking or providing it....

Google’s parent company, Alphabet, initially tried to have the lawsuit thrown out of court, but Federal judge Lucy Koh denied the request, ruling that Google had no choice but to deal with the matter. As it had failed to notify its users about its alleged data collection while in a “private browsing mode”. All in all, the plaintiffs of the lawsuit are seeking US$5 billion (~RM20.6 billion) in compensation. To no one’s surprise, Google’s defense in the lawsuit is that the word “Incognito” doesn’t mean that users are invisible and that user’s activity in that mode may still be visible to the website they visit, especially to 3rd party analytics or ads services....
The project was discovered by 9to5Google that picked up on the project via a recent update for Android’s Data Restore Tool. So far, the app seems to provide a back up service for basic user information – contacts, photos, calendar dates and appointments being just some of them – directly to Google Drive.
