Reports of New World’s ongoing GPU murder spree was picked up by the custom rig company, PowerGPU, who tweeted that many of their customers were emailing them about their GeForce RTX graphics cards that were bricked while playing -you guessed it – New World. In the same tweet, PowerGPU also says that all affected customers clearly never played the beta and it had been anticipating said issues since the issue came about....

The third petition which was led by local tech blogger Xavier Naxa managed to obtain more than 13,000 signatures and has led to a conversation with a representative from Apple’s regional office. More than a year after that took place, Malaysia is still absent from the list of Apple Pay’s official market on the company’s website. That being said, the persistent chatters within the industry regarding the official rollout of Apple Pay in Malaysia didn’t die out although no substantial proof has come to light so far....

At the time of this publication, PowerColor has already removed all listings of the 6600XT and 6600, but not before screenshots of them were captured. To be precise, the listing only showed the model names of both cards and do not list down any specific details about them. That said, initial reports allude to both RX 6600 series cards shipping out with 8GB GDDR6 graphics memory, with both their GPUs being based on the Navi 23 variant of AMD’s RDNA2 GPU architecture....

Thanks to AMD generosity, I was actually able to spend a little bit of quality time with the Radeon VII and to see if the CPU and GPU maker’s new powerhouse graphics card was worth all the attention. According to user post on the Chinese-based video site Bilibili, the Ryzen 3000 CPUs currently in the possession of motherboard manufacturers range from four cores to eight cores, but word is that they’re also preparing for the arrival of CPUs housing 12 and 16 cores. In terms of performance, the new processors reportedly run stable at 4.5GHz, with Cinebench scores being approximately 15% faster and more powerful than AMD’s current top-tier consumer CPU, the Ryzen 7 2700X....

Specifically, they are the Ryzen 9 5950X which carries 16 CPU cores with 32 processing threads alongside the 12-core 24-threads Ryzen 9 5900X, 8-core 16-threads Ryzen 7 5800X, and 6-core 12-threads Ryzen 5 5600X. As for their actual pricing, here it is: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X: RM 3699 AMD Ryzen 9 5900X: RM 2499 AMD Ryzen 7 5800X: RM 2049 AMD Ryzen 5 5600X: RM 1349 Depending on the specific models, the pricing for Ryzen 5000 Series processors in Malaysia is definitely slightly higher than the price in the United States....

Both the 3900XT and 3600XT are essentially just minor bump-ups from their respective predecessors. Both CPUs still come with the same number of cores and Total Cache size; the 3900XT has 12-cores, 24-threads and a 70MB L3 Cache, while the 3600XT has 6-cores, 12-threads and a 35MB L3 Cache. Even the power envelope for both CPUs are the same at 105W and 95W for the 3900XT and 3600XT, respectively....

Starting from Android Q, the operating system will not be named based on desserts. In an effort to make the operating system more global, Android Q will be officially called Android 10 instead. A direct successor to the M1 Max launched last year, the M1 Ultra is basically two M1 Max SoCs, literally joined at the hip via the use of a new die-to-die interconnector at the edge of the chipset. To that end, the new processor is also visually double the height of the M1 Max and, as you’d expect, has double the number of cores and components embedded. Interesting, it was found in the latest Apple Music beta on Android which also brings together improved widgets for the platform. The string in question shows the ability to open compatible tracks directly in the optimised service. Apple acquired classical music streaming app Primephonic last year, which is renowned for its highly-specific metadata for the genre that is put together manually by its staff. The tech giant has previously said that some of Primephonic’s features and functionality would be integrated into the Apple Music app....

To recap, the iMac Pro model was first introduced in 2017 as a high-end variant, featuring specifications intended for workstation-esque tasks such as video editing and 3D modelling. Its default configuration included a 27-inch Retina 5K display, 3.0GHz 10-core Intel Xeon W processor (boostable to 4.5GHz), 32GB ECC memory, 1TB SSD storage, Radeon Pro Vega 56 with 8GB HBM2 memory, and four Thunderbolt 3 ports. This base (and sole) configuration of the desktop computer is currently retailing at RM20,855 on the official Apple website....

The powerful chip allows the iPad Pro to do things you’d usually only associate with desktop systems. And Apple also claims that it can do all that while still maintaining all-day battery life. But that’s not all, as the iPad Pro has another trick up its sleeve, or rather in its front-facing camera. Apple says this is its new 12MP wide angle camera. And with it, the feature that the company calls Center Stage....

These details came from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, via a new investor note. According to 9to5Mac, these new iPads will have “affordable price tag and the adoption of fast chips” as their main selling points. Though no mention of which chip either of the iPads will be using just yet. The current iPad mini comes with a screen size of 7.9 inches. The new one said to be coming next year though, has a display measuring 8....

The supposed designs of both iPad models seem to resemble the current editions, sans its camera setup on their back. Instead, the iPads will allegedly feature a triple camera setup similar to the ones found on the iPhone 11 Pro, and is speculated to feature 3D-sensing camera tech on its front camera. According to OnLeaks, the dimensions of the upcoming iPad Pro 11 are the same as the current model, which is 248 x 178....

Pricing for the new 7th generation iPad starts from RM1499 for the 32GB model with just Wi-Fi, while the top-of-the-line variant with 128GB storage and both Wi-Fi and the Mobile SIM support retails for RM2399. At the time of writing, the tablet is already listed on Apple Malaysia’s online store, but all options to purchase the tablet is greyed out. As mentioned in the earlier report, the new iPad will only be available in the US and 25 other countries from 30 September onwards....

The out-of-cycle bonuses apparently came as a surprise to high-performing engineers who received them, given by managers. The bonuses reportedly range from US$50,000 (~RM210,000) to as much as US$180,000 (~RM760,000) for some, though the incentive isn’t made public. The parent company of Instagram and Facebook, Meta, has hired away 100 engineers from Apple this year while Gurman earlier this month has noted that Meta’s head of augmented reality communications, Andrea Schubert has been poached by Apple....

Specifically, one model will serve as the direct update to the existing AirPods. It will feature the same design, as well as the same price point as the existing ones.
