Specifically, Huawei has ordered its employees to cancel technical meetings with American contacts. Not only that, the report also states that the company has sent home its American employees working at its headquarters in China. Dang Wenshuan, the company’s chief strategy architect, was quoted as saying that US citizens working in R&D were sent home two weeks ago. This coincided with when the US executive order was signed, adding Huawei to the Entity list of the US Commerce Department....
The report noted that the rule change was signed off by the US Commerce Department and other agencies, which was submitted to the Federal Register last week on 12 June 2020. People familiar with the matter said that the change is currently awaiting publication and is said to be published as early as Tuesday, 16 June (US Time). Plans to subsidise Intel and its planned fab foundry in the city of Magdeburg was made public by a city representative in the German Bundestag.
