People familiar with the matter told the publications that the new plant will be based at a Sony-owned location in Japan’s Kumamoto Prefecture, close to the company’s own image sensor factory (shown above). The project is said to cost US$7 billion in investment from both Sony and TSMC, with half of it reportedly covered by the Japanese government. The phasing out of the A-mount camera line is a long time coming. With the Sony a99 II flagship being the last of its kind launched back in 2016, no newer models or lenses from the same product line were introduced ever since. By then, the company had already fully shifted its focus to the more advanced E-mount mirrorless cameras, which have been well received by consumers and fans alike....

The topic about the possibility of a PS5 Pro came up during an interview between Game Informer and Masayasu Ito, Sony Interactive Entertainment’s (SIE) Executive VP of Hardware Engineering and Operation. During the conversation, Ito spoke at length as to how – due to the speed at which technology is advancing today – console lifecycles now sit between a period of six and seven years. Reference to this hidden feature was uncovered by 9to5Mac while going through the operating system’s code, and was not found in the previous version of the beta. The site reported that they’ve managed to access the new Apple Pay ability, but were unable to get it to work due to it not being implemented yet. That said, it looks like you may be looking at different versions of it, depending on when the app was last updated. An older version of the Speedtest app shows one that’s provided by a third party, Encrypt.me. This is likely what you’ll see if your version of the app was last updated on 6 December or earlier. If it has an update dated around 12 December, then you’ll see the built-in one by Ookla....

The feature seems to be in the early stages, however, as the survey casts a wide net of possible perks and utilities that users might want with NFT purchases on Spotify. Some of the suggestions include adding the digital tokens to their library, interactive challenges, the ability to display them on their phones, gaining concert tickets, and showcasing their NFT ownership on their profiles similar to what Twitter has implemented....

ORIGINAL STORY [1:14 PM]: You may not have heard of the name StoreHub, but you may have made use of its software at some point in time. The company provides point of sale (POS) software to over 1500 businesses, including retail shops and restaurants. But a report by cybersecurity publishing group SafetyDetectives claims that it may have left the personal data of about a million people exposed. According to the report, the vulnerability was discovered all the way back in January....

Among them is Radar which allows businesses to take advantage of Stripe’s machine learning capability in order to detect and avoid frauds. Other than that, there is also the Billing platform which helps businesses to set recurring billing such as periodical subscription fee with ease. There is also Connect that enable businesses to implement a payment system to specially suit their business models such as marketplaces, crowdfunding, travel, and many more....
