Presented in over-ear form factor, the AirPods Max headphones are linked together with a stainless steel headband that is wrapped in a soft-touch material and also features a knitted mesh canopy. Additionally, Apple also stated that the earcups of the headphones are made from anodised aluminium. AirPods Max are also equipped with a pair of 40mm custom-designed dynamic drivers that are being accompanied by a dual neodymium ring magnet motor each....

Designed to meet the IP67 standard, the round-shaped device with stainless steel body features a removable cover that allows users to replace the CR2032 battery inside the AirTag themselves. Apple stated that the battery should last for more than a year under daily usages. Internally, the AirTag is powered by the Apple U1 chip which allows it to utilise the Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology. When used together with UWB-enabled iPhones such as the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12, users can then locate AirTag through a feature called Precision Finding that provides visualised directional guidance complete with sound and haptic feedbacks....

“To avoid any potential interactions with these [medical] devices, keep your iPhone and MagSafe accessories a safe distance away from your device (more than 6 inches / 15 cm apart or more than 12 inches / 30 cm apart if wirelessly charging),” said Apple. However, Apple also emphasised that while “all iPhone 12 models contain more magnets than prior iPhone models, they’re not expected to pose a greater risk of magnetic interference to medical devices than prior iPhone models....

Among them is the iCloud Shared Photo Library. Initially announced as part of the iOS 16 launch, Apple’s website now lists the feature as “coming later this year”. Built using 5nm process technology, they come in the form of M1 Pro and M1 Max which features a 10-core CPU with eight of them being high-performance core while the other two are high-efficiency cores. Specifically, Bloomberg reports that the company is contemplating letting users choose their preferred default browsers and email apps. As it is, the default for both are Safari and the Mail app, respectively. According to the report by Bloomberg, the game subscription service will bundle premium games for a flat monthly rate. Freemium games that generate revenue with in-app purchases are not part of the subscription service though. The reported noted that the new game subscription service will focus on popular titles such as Minecraft, NBA 2K games, and Grand Theft Auto series. In terms of revenue, it will apparently be distributed among the game developers based on the time duration that gamers spent playing those games....

As we’ve already covered when rumours regarding Project Titan first surfaced, Apple’s first EV is believed to be fully autonomous rather than a conventional one with semi-autonomous features. According to the insiders, new Project Titan lead Kevin Lynch insisted that the first model should be able to drive itself. Gurman’s latest report cites several sources supporting this particular tidbit, as well as the company’s aim to debut the vehicle in 2025....

Apple’s senior VP of software engineering Craig Federighi claimed that the company finds the level of malware on the macOS unacceptable. He also goes on to say that iOS is safer because of its walled garden ecosystem. As Federighi explains, macOS users “inherently download less software”. And this makes them “subject to a way less economically motivated attacker base”. He says that while things are worse on Mac than on iOS, the mobile platform will end up being a lot worse if it adopted Mac’s accessibility....

Nikkei, citing people familiar with the matter, wrote that production for the Apple Watch Series 7 had encountered “critical challenges in reaching satisfactory production performance.” Sources also apparently told both news outlets that assemblers are facing difficulties when putting together the smartwatch’s electronic modules, components, and displays due to the complexity of its design. Information regarding the ROG Phone 2’s new display was reportedly confirmed by a post made from the brand’s official Weibo account. Specifically, the post is a poster – written in Chinese and using an anime-based game as reference – showing a side-by-side panel comparison between a display running on 60Hz and 120Hz. For the record, the ROG Phone 2 isn’t the first ASUS mobile device to sport a display with high refresh rate....

The date was first revealed by the well-known phone retailer on its Facebook page earlier today.
