Revelation of Epic Games intention was first revealed in an interview with Gamespot, where Tim Sweeney, CEO of Epic Games. Sweeney’s move has been viewed a second and more significant attack at Google and the 30% sales cut it takes from all developers. It’s a bit of an irony, considering that Sweeney finally relented and released its popular battle royale title, Fortnite, on the Android-based app market. As you may expect, the ransomware attack has caused disruptions to some of the services offered by the Penang-based company who is apparently serving more than 160,000 clients throughout the world. Among services that were affected by the attack includes WordPress hosting, virtual private server, and Windows-based shared hosting, according to Exabytes’ support site. However, service restoration is taking place at a very slow pace though since the site also noted that only 3% of the data has been restored by 12:30 AM today....

As 9to5Google reports, in May the Google Authenticator added the “Click to reveal PIN” feature. With this, you have to take the additional step of tapping on the app before your authentication code is shown. The report states that a recent update to the app removes the very same feature it introduced two months ago. On the surface, the feature was probably meant to add an additional layer of security, or maybe specifically privacy in this case, to the Google Authenticator....
In September, the issue was verified by a Google News community manager, but it seems that a fix won’t be coming anytime soon. Alphabet trying to bring a wearable brand like Fitbit into its fold isn’t all too uncommon a move.
