Aside from disgruntled passengers, AAX is also facing challenges from a long list of creditors who are seeking their stake in the airline’s restructuring process. One such creditor is Airbus who said it may lose more than USD 5 billion (~RM 20.3 billion) if the airline’s restructuring proposal is given the approval. Under the proposal, all AAX’s Airbus aircraft orders will be eliminated. Citing a court document, Reuters reported that Airbus has already completed or “substantially built” seven A330neo for the airline with another 71 waiting in the line....

The company says that, despite the size, the Concept UFO is still an Alienware gaming PC. There’s the unavoidable comparison to the Nintendo Switch, and for more reasons than one. To start, it has an eight inch, 1900 x 1200 screen. It also has two detachable controllers, with a very familiar layout. There’s even something that connects the two detached controllers, much like the Switch’s grip. For what it’s worth, these controllers may have the ergonomic edge, as they look like they’ll be more comfortable in hand....

Evidence of the supposed APU was discovered in a Linux 5.15 release and posted on Phoronix. According to a report by Tom’s Hardware, those with a laptop running the Kaby Lake-G processor and are trying to update the Vega M GPU will be met by an error message. Informing users that the “AMD graphics hardware” in the system is not supported in the software installation. News of AMD’s decision reportedly comes three months after its “frenemy”, Intel, comes several months after Intel ceased any driver support for the CPU....

The new Ryzen 5000 Mobile series processor also obviously came after the success of last year’s Ryzen 4000 Mobile series CPUs, which wowed us in no small measure with the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14. In total, three Ryzen 5000 Mobile series CPUs were announced onstage by Dr. Lisa Su, CEO at AMD: the Ryzen 7 5800U, as well as the company’s new HX Series mobile CPUs that comprises the Ryzen 9 5900HX and 5980HX....

But while the Ryzen 7000X3D series may receive the overclocking benefit, a fresh batch of rumours is now suggesting that AMD could limit the number of cores to just 6-cores and 8-cores configurations. Further, the same source seems to suggest that those SKUs, whatever they may be, will only support DDR5-4800 memory. Beyond the two, there is no word as to whether or not there will be 3D V-Cache CPUs with higher core counts coming down the road....

The Ryzen Mobile CPU in this instance is reportedly a Ryzen 9 5900HX, and according to the Thailand-based leakster, APISAK (@TUM_APISAK), the CPU is a follow-up to the 4900HS and is expected to be based on AMD’s “Cezanne” Zen 3 CPU architecture. The CPU was first discovered within an ASUS ROG Zephyrus GX551QS and features an 8-cores, 16-threads die with up to 16MB of L3 Cache. If you’re wondering what laptop that is, APISAK’s sleuthing revealed that it is a ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE....

The company updated its list of vehicles that support CarPlay and CarKey recently to now include the 2022 Genesis GV60, 2022 Genesis G90, and 2022 Kia Niro. The addition of Genesis cars was expected as a string of code in iOS 15 referencing it was spotted a few months back. According to sources, the more than 700 apps that were removed had supposedly been pushing updates directly to the apps, and not through the proper channel that is the official App store. For those that don’t know, Apple treats such action as a blatant violation to both store policy and security. Of the hundred of apps taken off, popular apps in the list include Sogou – a Chinese version of Google – and online retailer Pinduodo....

A report by Taiwanese research firm TrendForce states that the iPhone 12 mini is no longer in production. The report cites the device hitting its End-of-Life in the second quarter thanks to said disappointing sales. Instead, the company will be focusing “on driving of the three non-mini models” of the upcoming iPhone 12s line. This does put the fate of the iPhone 12s mini into question. The report in question does not say that the next mini device will be cancelled, just that it won’t get the same marketing attention....

Apple confirmed to The Verge that this is the company’s first power brick that uses GaN technology. GaN is a material that makes far better semiconductors than traditional silicon, allowing companies to design faster chargers at relatively smaller sizes. PD 3.1 is a relatively new standard announced back in May that exceeds the previous cap of 100W and can go up to 240W using USB Type-C. The adoption means that the new Apple charger can charge other devices and it also means that 16-inch MBP owners can use third-party compatible chargers to fast charge....

Bloomberg reports that a number of companies that make chips and circuit boards for Apple have factories in the country. They are Murata Manufacturing Co., Renesas Electronics Corp., and Ibiden Co. They’ve all halted production as a result of the MCO. Similarly, Micron Technology Inc., which makes memory chips for Apple, is also operating in a more limited capacity. Other companies in the Apple supply chain that have facilities in Malaysia include Texas Instruments Inc....

Instead, Apple is planning to release its first AR headset in 2022. A sleeker pair of AR glasses will come after the headset, in 2023. Internal presentations indicate that the delay may be attributed to difficulties in developing the tech. The Apple AR headset that’s now planned for a 2022 unveiling will reportedly have both VR and AR capabilities. It will also make use of cameras to map the real world....

In terms of specification, Asgard’s new DDR5 RAM will ship out with a frequency of 4800MHz, but as we’ve seen in previous reports, brands like SK Hynix are already working on DDR5 memory modules that can operate at higher frequencies; the South Korean memory maker suggests that with the new memory standard, we could be looking at 8400MHz, more than double the average 3200MHz that current DDR4 RAM runs on and nearly 50% faster than what is currently possible....

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China is now available on Ubisoft’s UPlay Store at no cost. This offer lasts until 5 February 2019, the first day of the Chinese New Year. Pretty apt, considering the main character and setting. The Assassin’s Creed Chronicles mini series plays quite differently from the main games. These are side-scrolling platformers that make use of elements from the main game. There are references here and there to the main series, but they function well as standalones too....

Game Informer reports that a recent update has added the Permanent XP Boost to the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in-game store. It costs 1000 Helix credits, which is RM39.99 for us in Malaysia. And it does the exact same thing as it did in Odyssey, giving you a permanent 50% EXP gain boost. As to why this was added, Game Informer also got a statement from Ubisoft to that end. And in it the company says that it’s there to help players to catch up with the game content “as more and more post-launch content becomes available”....

According to a report by The Edge, the partnership between Astro and Netflix could be officially revealed as early as this week. Despite that, Netflix apparently would not appear immediately inside the Astro box as the integration process would only be completed months after the official announcement. In general, that description mirrors the usage scenario for Astro customers that have received access to Disney+ Hotstar as the streaming service will only be integrated into Astro Ultra and Ulti connected boxes later this year....
