These include ASUS’ top-of-the-line ROG Maximus XIII, the entire ROG Strix line, TUF Gaming, and its Prime lineup. While technically just a bump up from the last generation Z490, the new Z590 motherboards do come with some upgraded features, including what ASUS says are “beefed-up” VRMs and improved thermal solutions for said component and M.2 SSDs. More importantly, the new motherboards now support the PCIe 4.0 interface, effectively bringing Intel in line with its rival, AMD, and its own X570 chipset....

While we’ve seen two configurations of the ASUS ZenFone Max M2 during its regional launch, it looks like the one we get is neither of those two. Instead, we’re getting a ZenFone Max M2 with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. That aside, every other item on the spec sheet checks out. There’s the 4000mAh battery, 6.3-inch HD+ display, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC, the 13MP and 2MP rear camera setup, and the 8MP front-facing camera....

As it turns out, the Taiwan-based company is working on an adapter that allows owners of desktop PCs to slot in their current DDR4 memory modules and reuse them on Z690 motherboards that use DDR5 RAM. The idea is as self-explanatory as it sounds: you take a stick of DDR4, stick it into the DDR5 adapter, and then proceed to insert said adapter into a DDR5 slot. As you can imagine, the adapter is still a work in progress: unlike proper DDR5 RAM, DDR4 memory lacks an onboard controller that sits on top of the former module, among other issues....

Specs-wise, it’s clear that ASUS spared no expense in making the ProArt StudioBook One. The notebook runs on an Intel Core i9 CPU and 64GB DDR4 RAM. The jewel of the notebook, however, is the Turing-powered NVIDIA Quadro RTX 6000 dedicated GPU fitted inside it. By default, the GPU has 24GB of GDDR6 graphics memory that in turn are capable of executing real-time ray-tracing and AI-accelerated workflows. To keep both the GPU and CPU running as efficiently as possible, ASUS designed an ultra-thin titanium vapour chambers....

As Amanz reports, ASUS Malaysia has said that it is not bringing the Zenfone 9 into the local market. As to why exactly, the company did not share its reasoning. Perhaps we shouldn’t be too surprised, considering this isn’t the first time that something like this has happened. While the previous generation device, the ASUS Zenfone 8, was made available in Malaysia, the generation that came before it, the Zenfone 7, did not....

As per our previous report, you may already be aware that the Black Shark 4 comes in standard and Pro variants. However, only the standard model which is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 as opposed to the higher-end Snapdragon 888 on the Pro model, will be available for pre-order in Malaysia from 28 April until 4 May. Gamers can choose to get their hands on the 8GB/128GB version of the phone for RM 2,299 or opt for the higher-end option which comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage for RM 2,799....

Company president J. Allen Brack issued a statement which says that blitzchung will get to keep his prize money. His suspension will also be reduced from a full year to six months. The two casters who were fired will also be suspended for six months instead. Part of Brack’s statement reads “our relationships in China had no influence on our decision”. He goes on to say that if blitzchung had expressed the opposite, he would still be punished the same way....

Prior to the official reveal trailer, the game’s publisher, 2K, posted a teaser trailer of the game on YouTube. The feature was basically nothing more than a highly stylised collage, comprising digital maquettes comprising new and familiar faces in the Borderlands universe. From what we’ve seen in the trailer, Borderlands 3 will be introducing four – as of yet, unnamed – Vault Hunters, as is the tradition of the series....

It’s also the ninth biggest North American opening weekend of all-time (sans inflation) ahead of films like Incredibles 2 ($US 182.6 million), Captain America: Civil War ($US 179 million) and Beauty and the Beast ($US 174.7 million). Capcom told investors in a financial report that it will be increasing the number of developers to that end. The company did not reveal which of its many series it intends to revive. According to the report, this decision is motivated by two of its more recent releases. One is Devil May Cry 5, a very successful sequel that came 11 years after Devil May Cry 4. Another example is the remake of a game from 1998, Resident Evil 2 Remake....

Well, if there’s one compliment I can give Cats (an adaptation of a weird classic musical of the same name) is that director Tom Hooper (oh yes, the very same guy that directed King’s Speech and Les Miserables) has got vision. He commits! I mean this movie handcuffs you to your seat, vomits a furball on your head and then claws you across your face. Too bad it doesn’t dig its claws deep into your eyeballs....

The MCMC said that after a comprehensive assessment, it is giving its approval for the deal after both telcos agreed to overcome issues surrounding competition [PDF] raised by the regulator. Digi and Celcom put out a joint statement regarding the greenlight from MCMC, promising that the merged company would provide better network quality and coverage to customers. Interestingly, part of the agreement between the telcos and MCMC is that Celcom will need to sell off its sub-brand Yoodo within 18 months of the deal closing....

On paper, the BR100’s GPU is based on Biren’s own BiLiren architecture, which in turn is manfactured from a 7nm die lithography and 2.5D CoWoS packaging, courtesy of TSMC. Additionally, the GPU also plays house to 77 billion transistors and for memory, it uses 64GB of HBM2e memory, giving it a maximum bandwidth of 2.3Gbps. On top of that, it also supports the latest PCIe Gen5 and CXL interfaces. In regards to the BR100’s performance, Biren says that its GPGPU is capable of delivering as many as 1000 TFLOPs of power in 16-bit floating point operations, and up to 2000 TFLOPs of 8-bit fixed-point compute power....

That said, it looks like it shares a few features – or kinks, depending on your perspective – as its iOS counterpart.
