VGC reports that an internal Codemasters statement says that Take-Two made a non-binding proposal to acquire the entire share capital of the company. Take-Two shouldn’t be a stranger of a company, as it is the parent of 2K and Rockstar after all. Take-Two told VGC that it believes Codemasters will benefit from its global distribution, and nearly every aspect of game publishing, from live operations, analytics and marketing to product development....

On its own website, Crytek announced that the Crysis Remastered Trilogy will be released on 15 October. And alongside the trilogy are the individual second and third games of the series, for those who already own the remaster of the first game. Console players will also get a physical release. Though oddly enough, physical editions for the Nintendo Switch will come separately, and at an as of yet undetermined date....

It’s called Neon Noir, and it’s a video tech demo powered by a heavily modified CRYENGINE. The video demo itself is about a minute and 52 seconds in duration, but more importantly, Crytek states its ray-tracing demo was rendered using an AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 GPU. In conjunction with that point, Crytek also points out that its new CRYENGINE ray-tracing feature is both API and hardware agnostic. As explained by Tom’s Hardware, this form of ray-tracing is designed to leverage the most recent GPUs and the DirectX 12 (DX12) and Vulkan APIs....

In another report, GamesBeat claims that EA is “taking extra time to ensure it gives the game enough time to wow fans when it returns”. For what it’s worth, the game got delayed from late 2022 to early 2023, so at the very least it’s not a whole year’s worth of waiting. Not that it’s necessarily a bad thing. After all, EA and in-house developer Motive Studios intend for the Dead Space remake to be on the same level as Capcom’s Resident Evil 2 remake....

Under the Service Tax (Amendment) Bill 2019, these online services provided will be subjected to 6 per cent tax. The taxes will come into effect on 1st January 2020. The new car apparently will be fully designed and developed by local engineers as DreamEDGE will be responsible for its upper body, interior, and human-machine interface. The company will also be looking after its noise, vibration and harshness factor, as well as ride and handling, while Daihatsu will contribute in terms of advanced technologies. According to the timeline revealed at the press conference, the company aimed to unveil the first prototype of the new national car in March 2020....

On Twitter, Codemasters says that its Cheshire branch is merging with Criterion Games to be the studio for future Need for Speed games. This forms “one Criterion studio with two location hubs”. The process itself looks like an extremely detailed video game character creation. Facebook made the announcement in a pretty sneaky manner, too. This new information only came in the form of an update to a month-old blog post addressing the previous issue. The social media platform was quick to add that the stored passwords were not internally abused or accessed, even if it was possible. The stealth update was made likely to minimise the attention that Facebook will get. This is somewhat understandable, considering it was caught earlier this week uploading contacts of about 1....

NetBlocks, a network monitoring group, had confirmed the move by the now military-controlled government. Several days after the coup, the country’s Ministry of Communications and Information issued an official notice, stating that Facebook would be blocked until 7 February. If you plan to play the game in Full HD and without ray tracing, Warhammer 40k Darktide isn’t too brutal with what it demands of your gaming rig. Things definitely get expensive if you want all the bells and whistles modern gamin graphics has to offer. But across the board, if you want a 60fps experience, you’ll need 16GB of RAM. The game will also take up 50GB of storage space, but the devs strongly suggest installing the game in an SSD....

And it’s a very impressive trailer, to say the least. In addition to combat as the protagonist Clive, we also see larger scale battles between Eikons, the name of the summons for Final Fantasy XVI. And to match their epic proportions are the equally bloated damage and health numbers. While it makes for a grand spectacle, what the game would play like during these sequences is unclear. One would hope that the game would be able to recreate the magic of the Metal Gear Rex and Metal Gear Ray fight in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots....

Fujifilm describes the new X-S10 as a compact and lightweight device that weighs around 465g, featuring a magnesium-alloy front and top-plate that keeps the body rigid and robust.
