Less than a month since the announcement, and word on the grapevine is now saying that the Japanese electronics giant is already working on another smartphone. One that would ship out with same display aspect ratio. According to sources, the Xperia in question, dubbed the Xperia 4, will not only have a 21:9 aspect ratio, but that it will specifically be running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC. Further, reports say that the display size is set at 5.7-inch, and will have a resolution of 2560 x 1080 pixels.
Besides the Snapdragon 710 SoC, other specs expected to grace the Xperia 4 includes 4GB RAM, at least 64GB of expandable storage, and a 2800mAh battery to power it all. The phone is also expected to have a 3.5mm headphone jack; a physical feature that Sony has not included on the Xperia 1. Unfortunately, there’s still no information regarding the cameras of the phone, and neither is there any word on a possible price point. There’s also no word about availability, but it’s looking likely that the phone might only see circulation within Japan.
Naturally, this bit of news is just hearsay, so we do ask that you take it with a grain of salt. At least, until Sony officiates it. (Source: Gizchina, MySmartPrice, Android Headline)
