According to the service’s recent post, Remote Play will now allow clients to stream their games from outside their homes, directly to their PC or mobile device, wherever they are. Also, provided they have a decent enough internet connection and are close enough to a Steam datacenter. This in itself is a milestone; prior to this, Steam Link was limited in that only allowed clients to stream their games from Steam to their mobile devices, but only if said devices and the primary gaming system were on the same network. Once again, the feature is still in its experimental phase, despite having already been taken out of beta. There are also additional changes on the way, lest we forget about Valve’s upcoming revamp of the Steam Library, which should also become available in the coming weeks.
