In it, we get a badass looking Pattinson donning a cool looking Batsuit and his sharp-as-razor jawline. But this isn’t a leaked footage taken behind the scenes by an overzealous intern. It’s an official clip. And so, we also get Greig Fraser’s cinematography with the blood-red hues and even a hair-raising score my music composer Michael Giacchino that add to the badassery of it all. Check it out below:

I’ve watched this clip more than 20 times now and it still gives me massive goosebumps, especially because of Giacchino’s music. I’ve never been a huge fan of Giacchino outside of his The Incredibles theme, not because he isn’t good at what he does but because his themes rarely ever stick with me. They’re not memorable. But if the test footage is any indicator, The Batman album could turn out to be something special. The Batman is directed by Matt Reeves, known for his exceptional work in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and War For the Planet of the Apes. It stars Robert Pattinson as Gotham’s Dark Knight, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, Paul Dano as Riddler, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, and Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson. In the past, Reeves has mentioned that his film will be a noir that focuses on Batman as the world’s greatest detective, something the character is known for in the comics. The Batman is set for a November 2021 release.
