Prior to this, Twitter generally labels them as Retweets despite their differences. But now, the company has separated them apart with the latter being called Quote Retweet.
Retweets with comments are now called Quote Tweets and they’ve joined the Tweet detail view. The new Quote Tweets is readily available through Twitter’s website but if you haven’t seen it in your mobile app, make sure that you have downloaded the latest version of the Twitter app from Google Play or iOS App Store. In order to try it out, you can do so by finding a tweet posted by a user of your choice or even your own tweets and tap on Quote Tweets (if available) which will then reveal a list of retweeted posts with comments made by other users.
