The charging stand features a pyramid-shaped body with a triangular transparent acrylic or glass platform for you to rest your smart device on. The latter also elevates the main body to expose the internal cooling system’s air vents which are located underneath it.

Found inside are dual Qi charging coils for wireless energy transfer, as well as a dynamic fan that is automatically activated if the device gets too hot. Xiaomi also tweaked the internal calibration protection layer over last year’s model to further reduce any risk of overheating, over-voltage, over-current, and electrostatic discharge, as well as featuring improved foreign object detection. Also included together with the new 100W wireless charging stand is the brand’s 120W wall plug charger and a 6A USB cable. The accessory is only available in a premium-looking black and gold colour scheme, and is priced at RMB 599 (~RM 390). It is available in China starting today, but there’s no word on its international availability just yet.

Interestingly, there are no known Xiaomi or third-party smart devices that are capable of supporting 100W or 80W wireless fast charging at this time. The current highest rate that has been introduced so far being 67W, which is offered on the Pro and Ultra variants of the brand’s Mi 11 flagship series. So unless you fancy the idea of futureproofing, then there’s no urgency in owning either of these models. (Source: Gizmochina)
